Frequently Asked Questions About Printsake™ and Journey Stone™ products
How Long Does It Take?
It takes only a few minutes for an associate to take the impressions. Appointment times generally take 15 minutes per family. The rest of the work is done by the artist in their studio. The finished product is delivered or shipped in about 4-6 weeks. There is an additional charge for rush orders. You will receive an email or phone call you when your order is ready for pick-up.
Is There An Age Limit?
There is no age limit. We can print newborns, adults and pets.
Can You Print My Baby While He/She Is Asleep?
Yes, we can print sleeping infants, but they will usually wake up during the printing.
How Do You Manage To Make A Good Impression?
We have years of experience printing thousands of hands and feet. Besides purchasing a lasting keepsake of your child, an important part of what you're paying for is our ability to get a good impression. We make the process easier by using a soft, moist impression material.
Can I use my child's ink prints from their birth certificate to order a keepsake?
Yes, you can. We can use prints you take of your child at home, or the prints that the hospital obtained when your child was born. To send us your prints, send a quality scan via email or mail us a photocopy of the prints. We will correct any imperfections.
When Do I Pay For The Print?
Your payment is due at the time of ordering. Cash or check, VISA, Mastercard and Paypal are acceptable forms of payment.
Can I Buy A Gift Certificate?
Yes, gift certificates are available online and make a great gift for any occasion. You may purchase any amount you wish. Visit our online store to purchase.
Is This Safe?
Yes, absolutely all of the materials that we use are safe, certified non-toxic and lead free.
How Do I Attach The Photo?
When you receive your finished Printsake™, just tape your favorite photo on the back so that it shows through the cut-out. Your photo is not needed at the time of printing. Depending on product design, our photo cut-outs accommodate a 2", 4” wallet or 4 x 6 size photo.
How Durable Are The Journey Stones™ and Printsakes™?
Because the wall plaques are made of kiln-fired ceramic, they are far more durable than the plaster of paris plaques or air-dried clay. Treat them as you would your ceramic dinner plates.
Journey Stones™ - Can be displayed indoors or out. Outdoor Display - It would be best to bring them indoors during freezing weather. Or click here to order a Journey Stone™ display stand.
